Intersoft Systems has announced the release of finPOWER Connect
version
6.00 dated 17 April 2025
Version 6 of finPOWER Connect represents a major milestone in the platform's development, with a strong emphasis on a significant technological upgrade.
The core advancement of this release is the migration from the .NET Framework to .NET 9, bringing the software in line with the latest Microsoft technologies to deliver better performance, scalability, and long-term support.
This release marks a strategic advancement, reinforcing Intersoft Systems commitment to staying ahead of the evolving needs of the finance and lending industry through a modernised architecture and continuous innovation.

Some of the highlights include:
finPOWER Connect
v.6 Highlights
- Word and Excel VBA are no longer supported. The wording on the Documents form has been updated to indicate this.
- A new "Clear Latest Version Used record" button has been added to the Global Settings form, General, Database page. This clears the record of the latest version used and therefore stops Administrator Users from receiving a warning message. This allows for a version rollback if required.
- Database open message; Message notifying "WARNING: This database has been opened in version" now only displays for Administrator Users.
- Support Information report now displays .NET Runtime folder information.
- A warning is now given when opening a non-demonstration database in the 32-bit version when signed in as an Administrator.
- The TxtStream.NET interface has been removed since it is no longer supported under Microsoft .NET 8+.
- Connections to MS Access databases are no longer officially supported.
Banking Interfaces
- Added new service "Ezidebit"
- Note that this service has been released in 'Beta' and initially has limited finPOWER Connect Cloud support.
- Zepto AU
- The Account Payment PayTo Create Amend HTML Widget has been updated to include Zepto (Split) AU Alias Resolution.
- Now supports PayID Aliases when creating a PayTo Agreement.
Credit Enquiry
- Centrix NZ
- The Biometric Summary Page report has been updated to display warnings for any differences between the Client, or Applicant, data and the data sent to the service.
General
- The Service Log Cleanse facility has been updated to only allow Credit Enquiry and Bank Account Enquiry Service Logs to be cleansed.
- A new button has been added to the Web Access page of the Client Form, Generate Temporary Password. This is only initially available in finPOWER Connect Desktop.
- On the Account form, Security page, Motor Vehicle items can now show a "Monitoring" block - like that shown on the Security Statement form, Security Items page.
- A new option "Default new Workflows to the Current User?", has been added to the Workflow Types form, New Workflows page.
- Balloon Payments; "Adjust Final Payment before Balloon Payment" enhanced to handle more scenarios.
- Reversing an Account Disbursement from the Account Disbursements grid can now automatically reverse the Bank Transaction.
- The Database Purge has been updated to include a new option to "Purge Messaging Service Logs".
- A new Data Retention Process has been added to finPOWER Connect Desktop. This new facility allows you to specify how long Credit Bureau (including Credit Enquiry, Bank Account Enquiry and Biometric Verification), Security Enquiry and Electronic Signature type Service Logs and related information are retained for.
Scripting
- Building a Script now reports how the file size in bytes of the generated .NET Assembly
- A new Developer, References page has been added under Global Settings. This has an "Additional References" section that allows references to be included when compiling ALL Scripts. Additionally, this page allows "Legacy References" to be specified.
- Script and Script Hosts and their interfaces had business layer code to cater for Optional References in the future. This has been obsoleted now that References can be added in Global Settings, Developer, References.
- The Script Editor now supports LINQ.
- The concept of Script Timeout has been removed.
- finBL.Reports; Now gives access to the entire finPOWER Connect Reporting engine.
- The ISWebService class in the business layer that is used for executing web request has been marked as obsolete. This is due to the underlying Microsoft class System.Net.WebRequest being made obsolete.
- The ISWebClient class in the business layer that is used for executing web request has been marked as obsolete. This is due to the underlying Microsoft class System.Net.WebClient being made obsolete.
- Script Compilation Errors Report
- Updated to show errors regarding VBA Documents since these are no longer supported.
finPOWER Connect Cloud
Features
- User Interface tweaks.
- A new "Expiry Date" column has been added to the Statistics Grid on the Client, Statistics page.
- Audit pages now display summary and grid dates in the configured database Time Zone.
- Button added to Client Employments show/hide historic Employments.
- Document Manager
- Video files; Open; Now shows a special page to play the video.
- Client Workflow
- Security Enquiry Workflow Items now available for Client Workflows.
- Scheduled Processes
- Can now be configured on only be run by Web Servers with specific Web Configurations.
Web Services
Features
- Maximum Business Layer Pools size can now be configured as low as 5 (down from 10).
- Background Processes are now logged.
